I'm a big fan of Duty Tire and Auto. I learned of it from my son who learned of it from his boss. I wish I had learned of Duty Tire and Auto years ago. I have now had them repair several cars, including A/C repair and new tires on a old Odyssey, timing belt and water pump service on a Pilot, and evaluation of an old Suburban. Every time their prices have been fair, the communication straightforward, and the service top notch. I particularly appreciate the way they don't try to sell services. They understand that doing maximal possible maintenance on an old car is often not the a common-sense approach. To give one example, I took a 20 year old truck in to them recently and after their evaluation, Chris told me candidly that he would not recommend putting more money in the truck. How often does a mechanic give that kind of advice that means less work for them? All that to say they have earned my business going forward.

My garage, D&E Quality Services, referred me to Duty Tire years ago. Since then, it would be unthinkable to go anywhere else. Every single time I've called or have come in for an appointment, I am treated courteously and respectfully no matter how busy they are. Every effort has been made to accommodate my schedule. I have bought new tires here and have had oil changes done. Anytime the tire pressures are low, I come in without an appointment and they respond in minutes to fill up the tires. After tire purchase, there is no cost for the required tire rotation. The team is absolutely stellar. They are hard working, efficient, friendly, have a great sense of humor, and their expertise and knowledge about cars is off the charts. When I have requested an explanation for the work done or for their recommendations, they are patient, and will repeat things until I understand. They are 100% trustable. Their prices are fair and reasonable. While I have been in the waiting area, I have observed and heard the excellent relationships that they have with whoever they are dealing with, whether in person or over the phone. I was actually pulled aside by a customer who had car repairs completed by Duty because she was compelled to rave about their work and to tell me that she was so happy she discovered Duty. I emphatically agreed with her.

I love to have my 2005 Chrysler Town & Country Van serviced at Duty Tire on Atlantic Ave. They are so real. Today's work was finished in about half an hour. They are always friendly and polite and seem to relish their rapport with senior citizens. So refreshing to chat with them and have them keep my van up to par. In a world where seniors are preyed upon by many services, I thank God for businesses like Duty Tire & Service who treat us with the greatest respect. Bravo to Chris, John, and the guys!

Like always Steve gave us the best deal possible for a new set of tires for our Toyota. I had called several places around town to get a quote. I prefer to support local businesses. Service was efficient and they even replaced the valve stems that I did not know needed replacing to make sure the new tires would be in perfect working condition. We will be back for sure.

I came in with a P131 code problem related to an oxygen sensor. They gave me an initial estimate of $280 because the sensor was expensive, however, when I came to pick it up they told me that the sensor in the car was not broken, just badly placed. They didn't charge to place it correctly, and instead only charged the cost of a regular inspection, with overall service price ending up as $30! I was really admired by their honesty of just fixing the sensor connection instead of installing a new one anyways. I will recommend them to anyone, and will be coming back when needed!

I needed an oil change on my day off from work and I kept putting it off... I finally realized that it needed to be done now, so I took a suggestion from a friend and drove to Duty Tire. They were able to get me in right away and took no time in getting it done. They included a fluid check and tire rotation. They didn't try to push any more services on me and there was no extra charges or surcharges. The price was extremely reasonable and the service was fantastic! The staff was friendly and professional with a great attitude. I highly recommend Duty Tire for your needs. I used the one off Atlantic Ave for many years and have always had a fantastic experience. Since we moved we now go to the Tryon Road location and Steve Duty and his guys do a wonderful job as well. Listen, car repairs are costly and similar in price pretty much wherever you go. But an honest mechanic who is straight with you and doesn't sell you things you don't need, that is what's most important. A mechanic who operates like that will always have a lot full of cars. Beware car repair places with empty lots with no waiting! They are empty for a reason!
